This training program is an apprentice program in which the student will receive 250 hours of class and hands-on training. The goal of this training program is to instruct the student in all areas necessary to pass the State Board examination to be a Nail Technician. This training features:
- Use of the Nail Ventilation System (NailVent 2000) to provide excellent ventilation of chemicals, filing dust, and odors.
- Lessons on pedicure, manicure, acrylic full set, silk wrap, and gel. Full course content is attached.
- Training is offered to both full time and part time students. Training schedules can be flexible within the listed training hours.
- Full time students can complete the 250 hours of training within 7 weeks with schedules not exceeding 40 hours per week.
- Part time students can complete the 250 hours of training within 14 weeks with schedules not exceeding 20 hours per week.
Student responsibilities include:
- Payment of $2,000.00 for the 250 hours of Nail Technician Training. A $600.00 deposit is required before or on the first day of training. Payments of at $200.00 per week are required at the beginning of each weeks training until the full payment is complete for full time students and payments of at least $100.00 per week are required at the beginning of each weeks training until the full payment is complete for part-time students. This price does not include the purchase of equipment or supplies. All payments are non-refundable.
- Separate purchase of their own filing machine, UV light, cuticle nipper, nail brush, gloves, nail technician training book, and all nail supplies as listed on the attached sheet. The current estimated price for the equipment is $400.00 and the estimated price for the supplies is $450.00. These prices are subject to change without notice as we purchase direct from other suppliers.
- An alternate payment plan is available with Lena
- Students must be present at class at least one day each week. The full payment for the week is due at the beginning of training.
- Students must be at least 16 years old and have successfully completed 10th grade to start the training.
- Students must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent to get a work permit at the shop.
